GOOP blows chunks… Gwyneth Paltrow writes this random newsletter called GOOP ‘nourish the inner aspect’. It’s all about cooking, life, health, places to see blah blah. It’s one of my two celebrity indulgences. The other is regular lunch dates with Jack Black (but you didn’t hear it from me). So Gywneth is a pretty spirro type and generally I don’t mind indulging her and her red bracelet kabbalah friends when they talk about how nice it is to be nice and how life should be lived and other similarly earth shattering insights. But this excerpt from her latest installment freaked me out. It is a comment from a New York based psychologist-to-the-stars whom she asked to contribute: “Over the years I have worked closely with many types of people as a therapist. I have no doubt that good energy put out into the world will always be reflected back in positive ways. We tend to attract what we generate…” FML. I absolutely, 100 per cent gave it all to him. I cared for him, prayed for him, nurtured him, released him, encouraged him, laughed with him and most of all, I believed in him when he didn’t believe in himself. I gave him my time, my compassion, my honesty, my patience, my forgiveness and my heart. I even shared hot chips with him and I still got my ass handed to me. So basically, GOOP can eff off.
